
Carol Lynley (born Carole Ann Jones on February 13, 1942 - September 3 April, 2019) was an American actress. She is most well-known for her role in the movies Blue Denim (1959), The Poseidon Adventure (1872), and The Poseidon Adventure (1972). Lynley was raised in Manhattan by an Irish mother and New England father. After starting her career as an actor, she went on to become an infant model. Her nomination for the Theatre World Award for "one of the most promising people 1956-1957" for her performance in The Potting Shed. Lynley began her film career in the year by appearing in the Disney film The Light in the Forest. It was followed by Holiday for Lovers (1959) as well as Blue Denim (1959). In 1959, she was nominated for the Golden Globe Award as Most Promising Female Newcomer Female. In the following year, she was again nominated for the Golden Globe Award for Most Promising Newcomer - Female for the film Blue Denim.
